El Ministeri de la Presidència, Relacions amb les Corts i Memòria Democràtica, en col·laboració amb el Ministeri de Cultura i Esport, organitza esta Conferència Internacional que es durà a terme en el Museu Lázaro *Galdiano a Madrid del 4 al 6 d'octubre de 2023.
La conferència se centrarà en la importància de la memòria democràtica a Europa des del final dels conflictes bèl·lics que van assolar el continent durant el segle XX, destacant el seu paper fonamental per a evitar l'oblit i previndre la repetició d'esdeveniments tràgics.
Este esdeveniment, que se celebra en el marc de la Presidència espanyola del Consell de la Unió Europea, té com a objectiu essencial destacar les iniciatives europees relacionades amb la gestió del patrimoni cultural des de la perspectiva de la memòria, els drets humans i el compromís amb "la no repetició" com un imperatiu ètic en una societat europea democràtica.
The Spanish Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Cortes, and Democratic Memory, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports, is organizing this International Conference, which will take place at the Museo Lázaro Galdiano in Madrid from October 4th to 6th, 2023.
The conference will focus on the importance of democratic memory in Europe since the end of the conflicts that ravaged the continent during the 20th century, highlighting its fundamental role in preventing forgetfulness and the recurrence of tragic events.
This event, held within the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, aims to emphasize European initiatives related to the management of cultural heritage from the perspective of memory, human rights, and the commitment to "non-repetition" as an ethical imperative in European democratic society.
